Problem Statement

The current design effectively facilitates the conversion of text into interactive quizzes, fostering solid educational experiences. However, it can be enhanced by incorporating elements that drive daily usage and consistent engagement. The application would benefit from more dynamic visual elements to showcase user activity and simulate frequent interactions, which could bolster user retention and engagement.

Goal

Design a user interface that visually represents and motivates users to maintain a streak of consecutive days of learning. The streak feature should encourage consistent engagement with the app and reflect progress in learning.

Research

Upon performing competitor analysis on Duolingo, it employs a gamified streak system that is primarily reward-based and may not deeply engage users on a personal level or adapt to individual learning patterns. Aspects of generative AI assistants and reasoning trends could be deeply coupled with user learning statistics to give precise recommendations and directed flows.

  • Reward System: The progress bar for Knowt Balance indicates how close the user is to the next reward.
